Camille Tricaud was born in Bordeaux, France. After earning a degree in Philosophy, she studied Documentary Film Directing at the University of Television and Film Munich.

Her films have been screened and awarded at numerous international festivals, including Cannes Short Tiger Award, Palm Springs, Entrevues Belfort and Student Academy Awards, where her film APOCALYPSE BABY was finalist in the category experimental. Her short film SLOW DOWN THE FALL was nominated as Best Short Film at the German Film Critics' Association, was awarded the classification of “especially valuable” by the German Film Classification Agency (Deutsche Film- und Medienbewertung), received an award at Hamburg Shortfilm Festival and was awarded the Starter Film Award by the city of Munich. Both short films have been broadcast on ARTE.

In cooperation with eleven other directors and with the 74. Berlinale, Camille Tricaud realized the collective feature-lengh documentary film ELEVEN TOMORROWS, which was screened in the category Berlinale Special.

In addition, Camille Tricaud also works as a producer at Benedetta Films, german company she co-founded together with Felix Herrmann and Maximilian Bungarten. She has been working, among others, on the short film THE AGE OF INNOCENCE, which premiered at Oberhausen Shortfilm Week, was selected at Clermont-Ferrand and awarded at Drama. 

She is currently developping her first feature film, a european co-production between France, Germany and Ukraine, which has been funded by the Mecklenburg-West-Pomerania region (Germany) .

Since 2020, Camille Tricaud has also been a member of the Munich-based film magazine Revü. She is Recipient of the Media Art Scholarship from the Kirch Foundation for the year 2020. She took part to the Cutting Edge Talent Camp in year 2024 and to the ImpACT Lab at Festival de Cannes 2023.

She works between Paris and Munich.
